# Return to your real location

Release a changed location when you are finished.

## Deactivate the location

1. Open Quick Location or Routes, depending on what is running.

2. Click Deactivate.

3. Give your iPhone a moment to pick up its real position.

## If an app still shows the old place

Close and reopen that app. If the location still hasn't updated, restart your iPhone.

Note: Unplugging or closing GPSPhantom can also release the location. Don't rely on a changed location staying after you disconnect.
