# Update GPSPhantom

Check for updates and install the latest version.

## Automatic updates

GPSPhantom checks for updates on its own. Updates download in the background and install the next time you quit the app.

## Check now

1. Open Settings, then Updates.

2. Click Check now.

3. If an update is ready, deactivate your location and quit GPSPhantom. Open it again after the update installs.

## If an update fails

Check your internet connection and try again. You can also get the current installer from the download page.

Note: A running session isn't interrupted to install an update.
